Databases

Databases form the core of almost any computer system. The definition of a database is a structured storage of data, however this does not really explain the features nor why databases are the core of all systems.

Computers are very good at processing and interpreting data along logical lines. This data can sometimes be very complex and require very careful structuring. For this part of the course you will understand how databases are used in real life systems and also how to use a industrial scale database.
