Wired connections

Wired connections is anything which can be connected to a computing device through a wire. The most common connections are -

Ethernet - This is used to connect a computer or other networked device to a hub or router. The cable is called a CAT-5 cable and is shown in the image below.

USB - USB stands for universal serial bus and in the standard connection for peripheral devices such as mice, keyboards, scanners and even mobile phones. USB connections can come in different forms and different versions. USB 3 is the fastsest connection and you need a motherboard which can support it in order to use USB 3 devices. Most devices will have a USB 2 and USB 1 converter built in so it will work in any USB connection.
